Learn Surfing Foamy Surfboard Beachbreak - thats obviously the way to get into waveriding nowadays. On our surfcourses we always use so called Foamies or Softboards. These surfboards usually have a bit more of volume and are a lot softer as hardboards used by more experienced surfers.

The advantages are clear at hand. With longer boards having more volume and stability especially under conditions for beginners its much easier to paddle and to gain velocity. This is essential for beginners and also for intermediates to go for the first steps and to train skills like take-off, turns and equilibrity.

Moreover these Softboards help us to prevent difficult situations and injuries. As untrained and learning surfers tend to fall from the board sometimes its simply better do not hurt themselves or others surfers in a crash. So security first is always a good advice.

This day we went to a beachbreak close to Corralejo where we found nice and easy conditions to do a surfcourse for beginners. So with some smaller waves and bigger boards everyone had a lot of fun and improved a lot following the tips and hints of our surf instructor Diogo. For a good reason we also take the camera with us, just to shoot the progressions our Surfers make to provide them collected in a surfer gallery.
